For the past 25 years, most of my time has been spent working with layers and pixels — but just as much of it went into ./configure, make, and make install, wrestling with frontends, databases, and backends along the way.
My first steps into UI design came through open-source projects, especially KDE applications. That's where I learned to think about interfaces as systems, designing with KHTML — a technology that later evolved into what we now know as WebKit.
Over the years, I've worked on digital products — from early concepts and branding to shipped apps used by millions. After moving between teams, platforms, and side projects, I decided to bring everything I've learned into one focused, personal project.
Today, with the help of modern tools and new technologies (Claude, looking at you), it feels like all those years, experiments, and skills have finally converged. Vocial is the first true outcome of that journey. It's ambitious, carefully crafted, and deeply personal — a product shaped by everything I've learned along the way.
