Hey, what's up everyone? It's Auntie Sunflower. Um, let's talk about self-care First as always, what is it? Self-care is exactly what it sounds like. It's you taking care of yourself Now there are many ways to do this. You could cook yourself a meal take a bath take a walk Take a hike, you know play a game you like play some music do whatever you have to do, right?
now Um, why is self-care so important to the fabric of who you are Self-care is important because without self-care you're running on empty and when you're running on empty You don't really have much more to give because you can't give from it. It's something you don't have
So I'm gonna tell you some of my favorite self-care tips and then at the end I'm gonna ask you to comment Your favorite self-care tips We can help each other out. I know it's tough out there, but we can help we can help each other out, right?
So one of my favorite things to do for self-care is I love hot bubble baths You put a little essential oil in there You put some lotion in there you put a bath bomb in you get your candles your book your hot tea And you were you're good to go, right?
Another Another self-care thing that I enjoy doing is I love going for walks around trails You know lacing up my sneakers going out into the wild going on trails collecting stones and sticks and leaves and I always say I was a free-range kid from the 2000s the 90s 2000s, so I Was a free-range kid, which means I could go play do whatever I wanted I'd come back for dinner, and I didn't go back out the next day
Didn't have an iPad didn't have Google for the first part Didn't have an email didn't have all of the stuff that we have today another self-care tip Get off social media not permanently. You don't got to do it permanently Just you know every so often take a social media break take a day where you don't get on Facebook Twitter snapchat X whatever whatever it is that you do
And I'm gonna tell you something weird one of my weird self-care tips that as of this moment I Have yet to find anybody else that does this So another self-care tip that I have that I do for myself is I watch dr. Philip so it's yeah, yeah Yeah, I know don't judge me. I know I know
But I watch them because they make me feel better about my life. I could be feeling deep down depressed Whatever and I watch dr. Phil I'm like who at least I'm not on dr. Phil That's kind of a nuanced one if you're not big on dr. Phil don't watch dr. Phil obviously
Another one that I do is cooking. I love to cook Every month, I'll tell you a fun story so every month At the end of the month like the week before the end of the month I do what's called freezer soup so anything that's in the freezer that I could make into a soup Goes right into the crock pot I cook it and it becomes a soup for the month and
Then for the week we have that soup It also gets you to use all the stuff that you have. So you're not wasteful, right? I'm big into gardening. I love gardening But anyway, so enough about me so self-care is
vitally important to make sure that you are running at your best and Self-care is important If you have addictions that you're trying to get over or you have Things that you're trying to work on and be better at all of this to say that self-care is important And I wouldn't tell you that if it wasn't true because I'm your auntie
One more quick thing before we go my favorite tea I steep a bag of tea I put some honey in it I don't do sugar. I do honey. I Or But Gemini tea is like an oriental tea Rubio's is more of like a cinnamon flavor kind of thing. So it's good for fall. But anyway
Self-care is important. And now I want you to comment your favorite self-care tips that might help somebody else You never know. We all do self-care differently and something you write might help somebody else
All right, love always Auntie sunflower. Have a great day. God bless
