So LeBron James recently said he believes he's the GOAT over Michael Jordan. Really? Really? You've won four championships, sure, with three different teams and you've lost more finals than you've won. Meanwhile Michael Jordan, the actual GOAT in my opinion, has won six and lost none. You're not even the best player of your current generation. Kobe Bryant was a better player than you in the 2000s and I could argue Seth Curry was a better player than you were in the 2010s and even in this decade. So you're the GOAT? You're not even the GOAT in this century. So yeah, I'm saying it. Kobe Bryant is a better player, was a better player, than LeBron James. Seth Curry, Seth Curry, or Steph Curry, I'm sorry, Steph Curry, is a better player than LeBron James. LeBron's a hell of a player. Don't get me wrong. He's definitely gonna be our first Ballot Hall of Famer and all that. But GOAT? No. Michael Jordan's better. Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dr. J, Julia Serving, Larry Bird, I think I mentioned Larry, a bunch of them. I'm gonna go ahead and say it. LeBron, you're not even top 10. Sucks, doesn't it? You're not even top 10 and he already claiming you'd be the GOAT. When's the last time you won an NBA title? I figured as such. It's been six years. Now, I still consider that legit. A lot of people say the bubble, the COVID bubble title doesn't count. Yeah, it does count. I will give you that much. But you've won, what, four titles in the course of nine years while Jordan won six and eight and probably would have won at least one more had he not retired because of his father's passing. A murderer, I should say. But, continue your whole, oh, I'm the GOAT of all time. Here's the thing. If you gotta call yourself the GOAT, you're not the GOAT. You're not the greatest of all time if you're calling yourself the greatest of all time. Michael Jordan has never once called himself the greatest of all time. Not once. Other players, other people who know, other people, longtime fans like myself know how great Michael Jordan was in the 80s and 90s. And even he doesn't admit that he's the greatest of all time. He knows he was great. He knows he's one of the best. He's not gonna deny that. But the greatest of all time? He never says that. Meanwhile, LeBron James is campaigning out here. I'm the GOAT. I'm the GOAT. Ladies and gentlemen, he's running for president or something. Hell, that might be a job. He might actually be pretty much better than the guy we've got right now. But let's face it. LeBron James, the reason a lot of people don't like LeBron James is the fact that LeBron James is basically a brand marketing tool. Yeah, he's a hell of a great basketball player. Even now he's still hell of a great basketball player. And he's been around forever. He's getting pretty damn close to being half my life and I turned 55 this year. He entered the NBA when I was, what, 33 I think? Something like that. That was a long time ago. And let's just say that year particularly wasn't that great because of, well, let's just say somebody from that particular city that he's from. And I'll leave it at that. But I won't go there. I will digress. But LeBron James, you're not the GOAT. Your resume does not get you hired to be the GOAT. So yeah, just retire already, okay? We're tired of you.
