So this past week in Atlanta was Dragon Con, the huge pop culture science fiction convention that's been going on for 40 years now. And I haven't been since 2011 so it's been 15 years since I've been. And a lot of it is because I really

didn't have the money to go or the way to go down there or whatnot. The truth is also that I'm not really big into crowds anymore. It's not that I get claustrophobic. It's not that I get scared or anything like that. It's that I get really annoyed with crowds. I think part of it is my autism is that when I get into really big crowds I get kind of annoyed and it kind of it's one of those things I don't lash out or anything like that. It's just one of those things it's like I get really grumpy and it just kind of it's one of those things that I

would love to go back. When I last time went back in 2011 I tended to stay away from the really big panels. I tried to go to the smaller stuff. Stuff I had not done before. And this year they had an issue with the lines at the bat to get

your badge. And it was a really excessively long line and the heat and really excruciating heat and people passing out. They really need to work on that. Whether to have a different way of doing things or maybe have it to where certain your last name you go to this place like A to G or something like that you go to this place. H to R you go to this place. S to Z you

go to this place. They need to do something about that because having lines that long out in the heat like that is a very bad thing. And I know why they don't want to go to the Georgia World Congress Center because that would mean no late night stuff for Dragon Con. But they could move some big events over there. Or they could really need to find a way to do something like that. Either split events between the Georgia World Congress Center and the other hotels or something like that. Find a way

to make it to where it allows people to be able to see this stuff. Or even just buy tickets. You know a couple bucks or something like that to go to these big panels and such and reserve your ticket for it. I don't know. You know it's one

of the reasons I don't go there anymore because it's like you're really legitimately having to wait in line for big panels and you you're like way in the back. Which I don't mind. But it's one of those situations where I think in

retrospect it's it's not good long term for Dragon Con because there are so many other conventions now and it would not take much for Dragon Con to kind of have to to go into a hole again. They kind of got out of it the last two or three years. They've had really good guests and such. But you know especially nowadays

when the economy is down and such it would not take much for Dragon Con to get a bad reputation for not being good customer service and you know taking people for granted. And that's something if it may not be the intent of the

owners of the convention and all that but perception is reality. If they feel like you don't care about the customer it doesn't matter what you do that's going to drive people away. So they really need to think about that and address it before next year's convention.
