okay Democrats I took my took a bit of a baseball bat verbally to Trump now it's your turn there's a reason why you lose elections and it has nothing to do with the system being against you not just that although I could go into gerrymandering and how a lot of that is just downright evil and unconstitutional and American the reason is this you're trying to appeal to too many people it's very clear from the polls and from recent elections that becoming more and more progressive ie more left is the winning path but the problem is is that the neoliberal the Clinton coalition from 30 odd years ago is still there Clinton Obama coalition which is mainly centrist you could say Obama Clinton Biden coalition whatever you want to call it it won in 92 and 96 won in 2008 2012 then Trump comes along with his cohorts moving this country way to the right Biden comes along wins an election that basically he should have won a whole lot better because Trump botched the pandemic and it should have been a blowout instead it was too close way too close it should have been a lot of that is the fact that Biden played it way too safe they didn't hammer home the fact that Trump botched the pandemic I gave the I gave the way that Biden and Harris could have won the election in 2024 it simply put remember 2020 remember the pandemic remember the fact that Trump two years before the pandemic hit eliminated the pandemic response team trying to save money and it turned out that blew up in his face and he didn't want to take responsibility you should have hammered him for that that would have been that would have given you the election easily instead you wanted to play the nice guy well Democrats you can't play nice anymore you have to listen to Bernie Sanders you have to listen to Robert Reich you have to listen to AOC you have to listen to people basically saying this country wants a progressive left-leaning government that gives people the stuff they're getting in Finland and Denmark they want universal health care they want universal child care they want to see the fundamental thing is the reason I think a lot of middle class and lower class people are so angry is they don't see their tax money going to that stuff that actually helps them it goes to corporate tax breaks it goes to the military that's constantly at war with somebody it's going to the rich getting huge tax breaks and instead of actually you know proving trickle-down theory right it's basically you know showing that the right wing liberal I mean the left-wing liberals were right trickle-down theory trickle-down economics would not work has not worked and it's done a whole lot of damage to this country but thanks to Bill Clinton and his coalition from 30 some odd years ago the Democratic establishment is pro-corporate pro-tax break but hey we're fine with gays and getting married and transgender people existing and all that you know which I'm fine with of course but you know that doesn't win you elections meat-and-potato issues win you elections and when you're constantly having to fight culture wars you need to call that culture wars for what they are it's good distractions you don't see that so the Democrats need to become more progressive lean into it because if they don't who's to say they're actually gonna win this year who's to say they're gonna win in 2028 let's do it let's speak let the Democrats need to become the Democrats of Walter Mondale Jesse Jackson Michael Dukakis way back in the day because it can win now because people have seen trickle-down economics for the phony evil that it is people want to see get more bang for their tax dollars the time is now get to the left
