Okay, Strange A New World. It's a Star Trek series that's the last one until the new Starfleet Academy comes up, I guess, later this year or early next. I have no idea. This is their third season, I believe, or is it fourth? I think it's the fourth season. The next season's the last. So, it's been hit or miss. The first episode of the season was really good. The second, I'm not normally for horror, but it was good, despite the fact I'm not big on horror. The last three have been awful. This episode this week involved puppets. I kid you not, puppets. Excuse me, sorry, something went down the wrong throat. Anyhow, wrong way in my throat, I should say. Anyhow, I don't understand how in the name of Gene freakin' Roddenberry, and there's a lot of silly stuff in the original series. There was some silly stuff in Next Generation and a little bit in Deep Space Nine, but when you have only 10 episodes a season, whereas before you had 26 back in the day, you have to get, you have to really hit quality, and a lot of the times back in the day when they were doing 26 episodes, they had a lot of filler episodes. Stuff they had to do on a budget because the bigger episodes they really wanted to work towards. In 10 episodes, you really need to hit home runs every single freakin' time, or at the least a double, you know, to use a baseball analogy. Last week it was some Space Dark Noir thing they tried with some kind, with Klingons, and it looked ridiculous, and I'm sorry. I've tried to like this show. When it's taking itself seriously, and it stays on point, it does a really good job, but ever since that musical episode, close to the end of season 2, they have really not been really way off the radar. They've had some really good episodes, but the bad ones are outnumbering the good ones, and it's a real shame because I like the characters. I like how they communicate and all that, but it's just, it's a silliness. You know, there's too much of it. One a year would be alright. Two, stretching it, but three in a row? When you're way out in a wacky town, completely off the grid? This is a strange new world. This is bizarre. You know, this makes Monty Python look normal. This makes Pigs in Space look normal. What's another space comedy? Red Dwarf? Makes it look normal. I mean, come on, folks. Strange new worlds, you had such potential. Yes, you were a throwback. Yes, you were back to the episodic, but the first couple of seasons were really good until that bloody musical episode, and I gave it a pass because I thought this was just a one-time thing. They're having a little bit of fun, and they pretty much stay serious except maybe one or two episodes at most a year, but this, I'm gonna continue to watch it because I'm stubborn as a mule because I'm sure there'll be some good episodes, but honestly, this show ending isn't such a bad idea. Star Trek, you need to take a break. Take a T.O., baby, as Dick Vitale would say, and think about revitalizing the franchise because the way they're doing it now sucks. That's it for now.
